Cynthia Fagan – Instructor

Cynthia has taught English for more than 10 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an adult education credential at San Francisco State University. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. Cynthia has taught English to Japanese IT employees at Sprint Japan, Inc., Tokyo, and to hospitality and housekeeping staff at Seacliff Inn, Aptos, California. In addition, Cynthia has taught ESL at Watsonville Adult School, San Mateo Adult School, and Eastside Adult School in San Jose, California.

"I find teaching to be creative and interesting work. I love to have my own classroom and get to know the students very well. I want my students to experience meaningful, interesting learning that applies to their lives. I believe this can be accomplished through the use of interactive cooperative learning activities, an integrated curriculum, and, when possible, technology and the Internet."
